You don't look sick is one of the most commonly used statement to someone who has lupus.  If we looked how we felt we would scare you and your children. If the war from inside showed on the outside, we would look like like a zombie who just got in a fight with a prize fighter. There is no "sick" look. When someone tells you they have lupus, think before you speak.  Realize that what you see isn't always what it actually is.
