Sometimes in our state of pain a comment or a compliment can be misinterpreted. Don't let your lupus cloud your social skills or create a "everyone doesn't know what I'm going through" attitude. They don't need to know, only you need to know your struggles while dealing with lupus. You just need to realize and understand that every comment or compliment isn't a slight towards you, some are very genuine and truly from the heart.
